At approximately 12:10 a.m. Sunday morning (October 5, 2025) police were called to the 3000 block of 1st Avenue for the report of a weapons offence, When they arrived they located a 31 year-old male victim suffering from stab wounds to the neck area.
Police provided first aid to the victim until EMS arrived. The victim was transported to hospital by EMS in serious but stable condition. A short time later, police located and arrested a 29 year-old suspect. As a result of the investigation:
Twenty-nine year-old Leroy REDWOOD is charged with:
- Attempted Murder [CC 239];and
- Fail to Comply [CC 145(5)(A)].
REDWOOD will make his first appearance on these charges at 9:30 am this morning (October 6, 2025) in Regina Provincial Court.
