One female youth and two male youths are facing charges following an incident involving bear spray outside a Regina school.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. this morning (September 25, 2025), School Resource Officers (SROs) were called to a school in the 400 block of Fines Drive for a report of weapons offence in involving bear spray. The caller told police that two female youths outside the school had been assaulted with bear spray and the suspects had fled the scene.
SRO’S advised the school to enter “secure-the-building” mode and arrived on scene minutes later. The two victims were treated on scene for exposure to bear spray. An investigation into the occurrence began.
Once it was determined there was no further threat to students in the school, “secure the building” mode was lifted. SROs, with the assistance of various other units, located and arrested the three youths in relation to this occurrence.
Three 16 year-old youths, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are jointly charged with:
- 2 x Assault with a Weapon [CC267(A)].
All three will make their first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Youth Court on November 10, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
