Two adult males and two male youths are facing charges following an assault that took place on Saturday, August 16, 2025).
At approximately 5:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Regina General Hospital. The caller stated an adult male victim had arrived suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Further investigation led to a residence in the 1800 block of Ottawa Street. Both SWAT and Patrol units surrounded the residence and requested all occupants exit the home. Multiple people came from the residence. Four were taken into custody and charged. A search warrant, subsequent to the arrests, was executed. The following items were located and seized:
- Expandable baton
- Firearm (CO2 Pistol)
- Conducted Energy Weapon (Commonly known as a Taser)
- Large knife
- Machete
- Ammunition
- Magazine
As a result of this investigation, a 14 year-old youth, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)];
- Possession of a Weapon [CC 88];
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon [CC 90]; and
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].
A 17 year-old youth, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm [CC 267 (B)];and
- Fail to Comply with Disposition [YCJA 137].
Twenty-nine year-old Leroy REDWOOD is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)]; and
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon [CC 90].
Nineteen year-old Gregory BLIND is charged with:
- Aggravated Assault [CC 268 (1)[; and
- Obstruction [CC 139(A)].
All four made their first appearances on these charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning (August 18, 2025) at 9:30 a.m.
