A 35 year-old male is facing multiple charges following an incident in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 1, 2025.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., patrol officers were stopped at the intersection of Elphinstone Street and Dewdney Avenue when they observed a vehicle that, in recent weeks, had repeatedly evaded police during attempted traffic stops.
Officers on the ground alerted the Aerial Support Unit (ASU) that they were going to, once again, attempt a traffic stop. Once ASU officers had the camera locked on the suspect vehicle, ground patrol officers activated their emergency lights and tried to pull the vehicle over. The vehicle stopped near Victoria Avenue and Retallack Street but as officers approached the vehicle, it fled at a high rate of speed,
ASU tracked the suspect vehicle to a business in the 1800 block of Saskatchewan Drive where two occupants exited the vehicle and went inside. The vehicle then travelled onto the bypass and back into the city at a high rate of speed. The driver eventually pulled over outside a residence in the 2000 block of Athol Street and was observed, by ASU, walking into the backyard. Members of the RPS Canine Unit tracked the suspect to the location. The suspect would not comply with officer commands and was bitten by the Police Service Dog. He was then taken into custody and transported by EMS to hospital for treatment of injuries consistent with a dog bite.
As a result of this investigation, 35 year-old Antony Mik MILLHAM, is charged with:
- 2 x Flight from Peace Officer [CT 320,17]; and
- 2 x Operate Conveyance Dangerous to Public [CT 320.13(1)].
MILLHAM will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on July 10, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
