At approximately 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2025, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1200 block of King Street. When an officer approached the vehicle to speak with the driver, items consistent with drug trafficking were observed.
Two individuals in the vehicle were taken into custody. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed additional items consistent with drug trafficking.
As a result of this investigation, 27 year-old Jasmine LAVANWAY is charged with:
- X3 Possession of a scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)];
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355];
- Possession of Counterfeit Money [CC 450];
- Fail to Comply with Prohibition Order [CC 733.1(1)].
Forty year-old Mark MORISON is also charged with:
- X3 Possession of a scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)];
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355];
- Possession of Counterfeit Money [CC 450];
- Obstruction of a Peace Officer [CC 129(A)];
- Possession of an Identity Document [CC 56.1(1)];
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].
The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning, March 3, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
