On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the 4100 block of 5th Avenue for the report of a firearms offence. Information received indicated the male suspect entered a retail business holding a firearm, before threatening to steal items.
Police arrived and located the suspect, who was stuck between two double doors near the entrance. A firearm and baton were seized, and the suspect was arrested.
As a result, 25 year-old Phoenix DELORME was arrested and charged for the following offences:
- Robbery [CC 344 (1)(B)];
- Possession of a Weapon x2 [CC 88];
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon x2 [CC 90]; and
- Failure to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order [CC 145 (5)(A)].
DELORME made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.
