On Friday, October 4, 2024, at approximately 11:15 p.m., police were dispatched to a business on Hesse Bay for a 9-1-1 call check. Upon arrival, the business owner, who made the initial 9-1-1 call, told police that both his vehicle and property outside had been vandalized earlier that day.
The victim stated the suspect had stopped by the business twice that day. The first time, he entered the building, made threats against the business owner and demanded product from the store. The second time, he vandalized the victim’s car and set a picnic table outside the building on fire, before fleeing the scene.
Through investigation, police were able to identify the suspect and as a result, a male was arrested and charged on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Forty-two year-old Mohammad MOVAHEDZADEH is charged with:
- Uttering Threats [CC 264.1(1)(B)];
- Mischief Under $5000 [CC 430(4)];
- Arson Causing Damage to Property [CC 434]; and
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime [CC 355(B)].
MOVAHEDZADEH made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, October 7, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
