On Monday, September 30, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the intersection of Albert Street and 1st Avenue N for the report of a motor vehicle accident, which was the subject of a previous news release. Police arrived to the intersection and located an injured adult male, who was attended to by EMS and transported to hospital having sustained serious injury. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the victim died in hospital.
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing. An update will be released pending the completion of this investigation.
