The Regina Police Service has located the dogs believed to be involved in the August incident where an adult female was attacked, which resulted in a request for public assistance.
On Monday, August 19, 2024, at around 9:20 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of 3rd Avenue and Cameron Street to investigate a dog attack. An adult female was walking her dogs when she was chased by two other dogs and then attacked. The victim of the attack called for help and got the attention of city workers who then called 9-1-1. EMS arrived and attended to the victim’s injuries. Investigation determined that a male and female arrived and led the dogs away, but did not return to the victim.
Investigation led to the location of the dogs believed to be involved in this attack. On Thursday, August 29, 2024, police located the dogs, and seized them. An adult male was also taken into custody.
It is yet to be determined what charges, if any, will be laid in this investigation, which remains ongoing.
