The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is confirming the June 29, 2024 death of an adult male on the 1900 block of McIntyre Street is deemed a homicide. This is the third homicide in Regina in 2024.
Police and EMS were dispatched to a call for service for an adult male who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds shortly after 10:15 p.m. on June 29, 2024. Despite attempts at life-saving measures by police and EMS the adult male was deceased. Officers secured the immediate area and requested the additional resources of the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification units, as well as the Coroner.
Next-of-kin have since been notified. The victim is a 25 year-old Regina male, whose name will not be released at this time.
This incident remains under investigation.
