On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at approximately 4:55 a.m., police were dispatched to a business on the 4000 block of Albert Street for the report of a stolen vehicle. Initial reports indicated that there was a male with a stolen vehicle outside the business.
After confirming with the registered owner that the vehicle was stolen, police learned the suspect had also broken into the victim’s house and taken several belongings. Police began tracking the vehicle and located the suspect entering a business on the 6200 block of Rochdale Boulevard where he was arrested without incident.
When the male was identified, he was found to be the subject of a Canada wide warrant.
Twenty-three year old Jesse NIGHT, of Regina, is charged with:
• Break and Enter [CC 348(1)(B)]; and
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
• Theft of a Motor Vehicle [CC 333.1(1)];
• Possession of Stolen Credit Card [CC 342(1)(C)].
NIGHT made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court yesterday, June 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
