On Saturday, March 23, 2024, at approximately 4:40 p.m., police were dispatched to assist other emergency responders on the 1700 block of Montreal Street for the report of a garage fire.
Police arrived and observed the garage in flames. Regina Fire and Protective Services attended to the fire. Police were notified that a suspect male was seen exiting the garage shortly before the fire was reported. An area search was performed and police located and arrested the suspect male nearby. The male was identified and found to be in breach of conditions of probation. Investigation found the male responsible for the fire, and he was charged with arson.
Thirty-three year-old Brian WESCOUPE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Arson [CC 433]; and
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
WESCOUPE made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, Monday, March 25, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
