A 39 year-old male is facing numerous charges following an investigation into a stolen truck and break and enter several days earlier.
At approximately 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2024, officers patrolling in the area of 6th Avenue and Queen Street observed a truck that had evaded police the night prior (Monday, February 26, 2024). The truck had been reported stolen that night from a business in the 1800 block of Angus Street.
The suspect driver travelled to a residence in the 1000 Block of Princess Street and exited the vehicle. An RPS Canine team started a track and it led to a residence on the same block. The suspect was located inside the residence where he was arrested without further incident.
Officers determined, the suspect, 39 year-old Tyler ROSS, was also wanted in relation to a break and enter that occurred at a business in the 2400 block of Broad Street on February 19, 2024. As a result of investigation into both of these occurrences, ROSS is charged with:
- Break and Enter [CC 348 (1)(B)];
- Identity Fraud With Intent to Avoid Arrest [403(1)(D)];
- 2 x Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 [CC 355 (B)];and
- Breach of Conditional Sentence Order.
ROSS made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court, this afternoon, February 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
