A 34 year-old male and a 25 year-old female are facing charges following an investigation by the Regina Police Drug Unit.
On Friday, February 9, 2024 at approximately 2:30 p.m. officers executed a CDSA search warrant on a vehicle and a residence in the east end of Regina. Two people were arrested in the vehicle with the assistance of RPS Tactical Support Team officers. A search of the vehicle and the residence, located on Michener Drive, turned up the following:
- 1079 grams of Cocaine
- 6 grams of MDMA
- Cash
As a result, 34 year-old Awet MEHARI is charged with:
- 2 x Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)];
- Possession of the Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime [CC 355(B)].
Twenty-five year-old Eve MOLANDER is charged with:
- 2 x Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)];
- Possession of the Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime [CC 355(B)].
Both MEHARI and MOLANDER made their first appearances on these charges in Regina Provincial Court today, Monday, February 12, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.
