A 71 year-old male is facing charges after an investigation by the Regina Children’s Justice Centre into allegations of sexual assault on a minor.
Investigation began on February 5, 2024, after the Regina Children’s Justice Centre received a report that a nine year-old youth had been sexually assaulted by a private music instructor. The male was subsequently located by police, arrested, and charged.
Seventy-one year-old Claro Recto BELEN, of Regina, is charged with:
- Sexual Assault [271 CC];
- Sexual Interference [151 CC]; and
- Invitation to Sexual Touching [152 CC].
BELEN was released on conditions with a court appearance scheduled for March 12, 2024.
