The Regina Police Service is working in conjunction with Regina Fire and Protective Services and SaskEnergy to investigate the circumstances of an explosion and fire at a Regina business late yesterday afternoon (January 10, 2024).
Police were called to the business in the 400 block of Albert Street North at approximately 4:15 p.m. yesterday. When they arrived, RFPS was already on scene working to extinguish the fire and evacuate area businesses. The fire was brought quickly under control. Three people were treated for minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Southbound traffic on Albert Street between 9th Avenue North and 7th Avenue North was rerouted for several hours while crews worked to ensure the safety of the area.
The investigation is ongoing.
