On Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at approximately 9:56 p.m., members of the Regina Police Service responded to a report of a motor vehicle versus pedestrian collision near the intersection of Arcola Avenue and Dixon Crescent.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male who had been struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. The male was transported to the hospital by EMS where he remains with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle involved, remained on scene. In order to preserve potential evidence, traffic was shut down and members from the Forensic Identification Unit and Traffic Collision Investigators attended. The scene has since been cleared.
As a result of the investigation, the 42 year-old female driver was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian under Section 223(1) of the Traffic Safety Act.
