On October 27, 2023, at approximately 2:25 a.m., police were dispatched to an apartment residence on the 1400 block of Rae Street for the report of a knife offence. A male had been stabbed and had his belongings stolen.
Police arrived and discovered a male in medical distress. EMS transported the male to hospital for serious injuries. It was learned through investigation that the victim was assaulted in a nearby alley and a male and female had fled the scene. A passerby helped the male to the apartment and called 911.
Police investigation identified the suspect male and female.
On November 17, 2023, the suspect female was located by police, arrested, and charged.
On December 7th, police located the suspect male, who was arrested and charged.
Twenty-eight year-old Lazarus MARTEL, and twenty-four year-old Deandrea MOISE, both of Regina, are jointly charged with Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)].
MARTEL is also charged with Fail to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
MOISE is also charged with Fail to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
MOISE was remanded and made her first appearance on her charges in Provincial Court on November 20, 2023. MARTEL made his first appearance on his charges this morning, December 8, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.
