A recent investigation by the Regina Police Service Street Gang Unit and Robbery Unit has resulted in numerous firearms-related charges.
At approximately 2:15 p.m. on November 24, 2023, members from both the Street Gang and SWAT Units executed a search warrant at residence in the 700 block of Cameron Street. Inside the home, officers located the following:
- Sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun;
- .22 caliber semi-automatic carbine;
- Ammunition;
- An overcapacity “drum” .22 caliber magazine;
- A .22 caliber magazine;
- Several 9mm pistol magazines; and
- Firearm parts.
As a result of the investigation, 19 year-old Marshall COTE is charged with:
- Possession of a Prohibited Firearm With Readily Available Ammunition[CC 95(1)];
- 2 x Unsafe Storage of a Firearm [CC 86(2)];
- 2 x Possession of a Prohibited Firearm [CC 92(1)];
- 2x Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited [CC 117.01(1)]; and
- Possession of Ammunition While Prohibited [CC 117.01(1).
COTE made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on November 27, 2023.
