On Friday October 20, 2023, at approximately 1:40 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Robinson Street for a report of a break and enter to a residence. Police received information that a male was inside the residence stealing items from in the house. A witness reported he confronted the suspect male. The suspect chased the witness while holding a pipe. The witness was not injured and was able to get to a safe area and contacted police. Police attended to the area and located a male running from the residence. The male suspect was arrested a short distance away without incident.
Forty-one year-old Scott GRANDEL, of Regina, is charged with:
• Break & Enter and Commit CC 348(1)(B)
• Assault with a Weapon CC 267(A)
• Fail to Comply with a Probation Order CC 733.1(1)
GRANDEL will make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court, on October 23, 2023.
