The investigation into a collision late yesterday afternoon (June 19, 2023) is complete.
Officers were called to the intersection of 25th Avenue and Albert Street shortly before 3:00 p.m., for a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. When they arrived they found an injured, elderly female victim who had been struck by a van at a low rate of speed. The victim was taken by EMS to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and was issued a ticket for Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian.
The intersection was closed for several hours while officers conducted the investigation.
