On the morning of Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at approximately 8:20 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence on the 900 block of Retallack Street for the report of a weapons offence. Police were advised that a male was in the residence pointing a firearm at the other occupants. It is alleged that the male pulled the trigger of the firearm while pointed at another person, but the firearm did not successfully fire. The occupants then attempted to get the firearm from the male, who then fled with the firearm.
Police located the 31 year-old male on the 1000 block of Robinson Street, who was arrested without incident. A search of the male revealed a CO2 pistol.
Thirty-one year-old Landann Augustine SEBASTIAN, of Regina, is charged with:
- Discharge Firearm with Intent [CC 244.1(B)];
- Possession of a Weapon [CC 88];
- Carry Concealed Weapon [CC 90]; and
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)].
SEBASTIAN made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, June 15, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.
