On April 28, 2023, at approximately 7:20 p.m., members of the Regina Police Service performed a traffic stop on a vehicle on 4th Avenue and Atkinson Street. There were four occupants in the vehicle and through investigation, police located drugs and Canadian currency in the vehicle. All four occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
The investigation led police to a residence in the 1000 block of Broder Street where another search was conducted. A loaded 12 gauge shot gun was located in the residence. As a result, a number of charges were laid.
A 17 year-old female, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)]
The female youth will appear in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
A 15 year-old male, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)]
The male youth will appear in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
Eight-teen year-old Anthony NAHBEXIE, of Regina has been charged with:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)]
NAHBEXIE will appear in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
A 15 year-old male, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)]
- Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [CC 88(1)]
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized [CC 92(1)]
- 2X Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)]
- Fail to Comply With Disposition Section 137 YCJ Act [YCJA 137]
- Fail to Comply With Condition of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(a)]
The male youth will appear in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on Monday, May 1, 2023.
