A 65 year-old male is facing new charges after an investigation into allegations of the sexual assault of a young person.
In July 2022, the Regina Police Service issued a news release naming 65 year-old Edwin Dwight WOOLHETHER as charged. Following this release, investigators received information pertaining to a 2007 sexual assault of a child. This new information led to the arrest of WOOLHETHER on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
Sixty-five year-old Edwin Dwight WOOLHETHER, of Regina, is charged with:
- Sexual Assault of a Minor [271 CC]; and
- Sexual Interference [151 CC].
The accused will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
