On Saturday, April 8, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., members of the Regina Police Service were dispatched to the 2000 block of Broad Street, for a report of a male sitting in a vehicle who was shot at by an occupant in a silver Mazda CX7. The Mazda CX7 had clipped another vehicle during the incident and sustained damage to the rear passenger door and fled the area. On Sunday, April 9, 2023, at approximately 6:30 p.m., an off-duty police officer spotted the Mazda CX7 believed to have been involved in the incident from early Saturday morning. The Regina Police Service Stolen Auto Unit conducted covert surveillance on the vehicle and observed the driver of the exit and enter a store in the 400 block of Albert Street N, where he was taken into custody without incident. A female youth passenger was arrested out of the Mazda CX7, which was confirmed to be a stolen vehicle, reported stolen in Regina on March 22, 2023. Search of the stolen vehicle, incident to arrest resulted in the discovery and seizure of a loaded .22 caliber rifle.
Twenty-eight year-old Delmont ASAPACE, of Regina is charged with:

- Carry Concealed weapon [CC 90(1)]
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in a Vehicle [CC 94 (1)]
- Careless Storage of a Firearm [CC 86(1)]
- Prohibited Possession Contrary to an Order [CC 117.01(1)] X 4
- Drive While Prohibited [320.18(1)(a)]
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5(2)]
A 16 year-old female, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 [CC 355 (a)]
- Carry Concealed weapon [CC 90(1)]
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose [CC 88]
- Possession of Identity Documents [56.1(1)]
- Offences Relating To Public Or Peace Officers [CC 129(a)]
ASAPACE AND the female youth will appear in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
