On Monday, February 27, 2023, at approximately 1:15 a.m., police received a report of a male assaulted and robbed on the 800 block of Empress Street. Information received was that the male’s residence keys were stolen and that the assailants were now in his residence.
Police were dispatched to the call and arrived at the residence to observe a vehicle driving away at a high rate of speed. Due to safety concerns, police did not pursue. Police located the vehicle with three occupants parked on 13th Avenue and Forget Street. The occupants were arrested. A search revealed items taken from the residence.
Three Regina males: 19 year-old Keanu DESNOMIE, a 17 year-old male, and a 16 year-old male, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are all jointly charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)]; and
- Break, Enter, and Commit [CC 348(1)(B)].
The youths are also jointly charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)].
DESNOMIE is scheduled to make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court, and the youths in Provincial Youth Court, today, Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
