On Friday, February 26, 2023, at approximately 10:00 PM, police were dispatched to the 300 block of Wascana Street for a complaint of an unpaid taxi fare and assault of the taxi driver.
Upon arrival police met with the victim and in the course of the investigation the following charges resulted:
A 16 year-old male, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
- Robbery (344(1)(B) CC)
- Fail To Comply With Condition Of A Release Order (145(5)(A) CC)
This youth will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Youth Court on February 27, 2023, at 9:30 AM.
A 16 year-old female, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
- Assault A Peace Officer (270(1)(A) CC)
- Obstruction (129(A) CC)
This youth will make her first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Youth Court on April 4, 2023, at 9:30 AM.
