A 22 year-old Regina male is facing charges after gunshots were fired on a residential street Monday morning.
On Monday, January 23, 2023 at approximately 8:45 a.m., police were dispatched to a report of a firearms offence in the 800 block of Edgar Street. Multiple people phoned police reporting that they could hear what sounded like gunshots in the area. Officers attended and locked down the 800 block of Edgar Street and the immediate surrounding area. Police confirmed that two vehicles parked in the street were hit by what appeared to be bullets; one of the vehicles had a person inside when it was struck. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries. Through police investigation, it was determined the shots were fired from inside a residence on the block. Officers spoke with the people inside that residence and requested that all occupants exit the home; the occupants complied and multiple people were taken into custody without incident. In a search of the residence incident to arrest, police located and seized a firearm and ammunition. As a result:
