An adult female and adult male are facing over 30 charges in connection with a series of incidents including robberies, assaults and various property crimes.
On December 20, 2022, police located and arrested two individuals alleged to have been involved in numerous recent criminal incidents, including violent crimes. A brief summary of these events, alleged to involve one or both of the suspects follows:
– Nov. 29, 2022 – Theft of Auto, 100 block Dalgleish Drive;
– Dec. 7, 2022 – Theft over $5000, Hodsman Road;
– Dec. 8, 2022, Assault with a weapon (bear spray), Hodsman Road
– Dec. 9, 2022 – Robbery, 4600 block 4th Avenue;
– Dec. 12, 2022 – Assault with a Weapon (bear spray) and Hit & Run, 200 block N. Albert;
– Dec. 12, 2022 – Robbery, 1300 block Dover Avenue;
– Dec. 19, 2022 – Break & Enter (home invasion), 1000 block Reynolds Street;
– Dec. 19, 2022 – Possession of a stolen vehicle;
– Dec. 19, 2022 – Commercial Robbery, 400 block N. Albert
Thorough investigation into these incidents led to identification of two suspects: a male and a female. Both were located in the 100 block of Halifax Street and arrested without incident. Further investigation including execution of search warrants led to numerous charges against the two suspects.
Twenty-nine year-old Tayler Joy WILLIAMSEN, and 27 year-old Calvin Roy SPARVIER, both of Regina, are jointly (both) charged with:
– 2 X Robbery, s. 344(1)(b) CC;
– Break, Enter and commit robbery, 348(1)(b) CC;
– 2 X Use of imitation firearm in the commission of indictable offence, s. 85(2)(a) CC;
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, s. 355(a) CC;
In addition to the joint charges, Tayler Joy WILLIAMSEN, of Regina, is also charged with:
– Theft of motor vehicle, s. 333.1(1) CC;
– Theft over $5,000, s. 334(a) CC;
– Assault with a weapon, s. 267(a) CC;
– Robbery, s. 344(1)(b) CC;
– Fail to stop after accident, s. 320.16(1) CC;
– Disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, 351(2) CC;
– 9 X Breach of Probation, s. 733.1(1) CC.
In addition to the joint charges, Calvin Roy SPARVIER, of Regina, is also charged with:
– 2 X Disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, 351(2) CC;
– 2 X Assault with a weapon (bear spray), s. 267(a) CC, and
– 3 X Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition, s. 117.01(1) CC.
Both WILLIAMSEN and SPARVIER made court appearances in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 (today).
