On the early morning of Saturday, October 15, 2022, at approximately 1:10 a.m., police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at westbound Ring Road west of Winnipeg Street. Information received stated that a male pedestrian was crossing Ring Road and was hit by a vehicle, and was unresponsive. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
EMS attending to the injured 18 year-old male, who was taken to hospital for injuries that do not appear life-threatening.
Investigation determined that the male had come from the ditch to cross an unlit area of Ring Road, and was struck by the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was not impaired, and no one is charged in this incident.
