On the early morning of Saturday, October 15, 2022, at approximately 1:45 a.m., police observed a car driving erratically and without headlights on Dewdney Avenue.
During this time police were slowly approaching Lorne Street, which due to night club activity, had multiple pedestrians, cabs, and other vehicles on the road at this time. Police were concerned about the erratic behavior of the vehicle behind them as it approached the active street and decided to initiate a traffic stop. Police were yet unable to move, and the vehicle struck the police car from behind.
Police exited their vehicle and assessed the occupants of the vehicle, who were uninjured. The driver was arrested and transported to cells where breath samples were taken, and it was determined the driver’s blood alcohol levels were in excess of 0.08%.
Twenty-two year-old Coleden Trey BAGWELL, of Regina, is charged with:

- Exceed .08 [CC 320.14(1)(B)].
BAGWELL was released and is scheduled to appear on these charges in Provincial Court on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.
