A 13 year-old youth is in custody in relation to this morning’s incident at F.W. Johnson Collegiate, which was the subject of a previously issued news release.
On Friday, September 23, 2022, at approximately 9:15 a.m., police were notified of a youth at F.W. Johnson Collegiate with a firearm. Information received was that a youth pointed the firearm at a staff member, and then left. The school was put into lockdown. Six other schools in the area were placed in Secure-the-Building protocol.
More than a dozen police officers arrived at the school and secured the area. Officers cleared the building and it was determined the female suspect was no longer inside.
