A 30 year-old male from Regina is facing charges after an incident early Saturday morning.
Police were called shortly before 2 a.m. on June 4, 2022 to an address in the 1000 Block of Dorothy Street. The male caller stated that he had just had a gun pointed at him while in his vehicle in the parking lot. When police arrived they found the victim in his vehicle and they learned the suspect had returned to a residence nearby. Officers requested the suspect exit the residence, and he did so without incident. An adult female also exited the residence and told police the suspect was holding her at the address and would not let her leave. Officers located a firearm inside the residence.
As a result of this investigation, 30 year-old Jesse James BORDEN is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon [267(A) CC]; and
- Forcible Confinement [279(2) CC].
BORDEN made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court this morning, June 6, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
