Two adults: a male and a female, have been charged in connection with a Break and Enter to a residential property in Regina yesterday (May 12th).
Just after 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, police units, including a Canine team, were dispatched to a residence in the 2400 block of 14th Avenue for a report of a possible Break and Enter in progress. Preliminary information indicated a suspect may be inside the garage at the given address. Officers arrived and after repeatedly announcing their presence, sent the police K9 into the garage to search for the suspect. A male and female suspect were discovered inside; the police dog bit the male suspect in the arm. The male suspect was assessed by EMS but did not wish to go to hospital. Both individuals were charged in connection with the Break and Enter.
Forty year-old Michael RUNNS and 42 year-old Charlene Adrienne NETOWAYASIN are jointly charged with Break, Enter and Commit Mischief, section 348(1)(b) CC.
In addition, Michael RUNNS is charged with Breach of Probation, section 733.1(1) CC.
Charlene Adrienne NETOWAYASIN also faces an additional charge of Breach of Probation, section 733.1(1) CC.
Both accused were released on an Undertaking to appear in Provincial Court on July 4, 2022.
