On Monday, April 4, 2022, at approximately 12:45 p.m. members of both the Regina Police Service and the Regina Fire Department were dispatched to a fire occurring at a residence on the 1300 block of Garnet Street. When police and fire-fighters arrived, a detached garage was engulfed in flames, and fire fighters successfully extinguished the fire.
At approximately 3:30, police were dispatched to the report of another fire on the 1100 block of Rae Street, and a short time later a third fire at approximately 4:45 p.m. on the 1000 block of Rae Street.
Investigation into these incidents led to an 18 year-old female, who was located in the area of 5th Avenue and Rae Street, arrested, and charged with lighting the fires.
Eighteen year-old Makayla Rose NIGHTTRAVELLER, of Regina, is charged with:
- 3 x Arson [CC 433];
- 3 x Fail to comply [YCJA 137]
NIGHTTRAVELLER made her first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court yesterday, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
