The Regina Police Service Drug Unit (RDU) completed an investigation and enforcement action, with the assistance of the Community Services Division (Patrol), on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in relation to drug trafficking within the City of Regina.
A CDSA search warrant was executed on a residence in the Cathedral Area of Regina. As a result of the enforcement, 34 year-old Jason DANQUAH of Calgary, Alberta, was arrested in relation to the investigation.
During the execution of the search warrant the following was seized:
- 480 grams of fentanyl,
- $22,500.00 in Canadian Currency,
- Multiple cellular phones, digital scales, packaging and other items to support fentanyl trafficking.
At the conclusion of the enforcement, DANQUAH was charged with the following offences:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl – S.5(2) CDSA; and
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000 – S.355(a) CC.
DANQUAH made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. (today), Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
