The Regina Police Service, working in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is confirming that a death investigation, begun on March 15, 2022, is now a homicide case. This is the third homicide in Regina in 2022.
The investigation began when police were dispatched, at approximately 2:40 p.m., on Tuesday March 15, 2022, to the 100 block of Davidson Crescent. The initial information indicated there was an injured male at that location who was lying outside, unresponsive. Police and EMS attended and located an adult male who had sustained a critical injury. The male was transported to hospital but succumbed to the injury. Officers secured the immediate area and requested the additional resources of the Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units, as well as the Coroner.
The victim has been identified as 27 year-old Leslie Victor John WHITEBEAR, OF Regina. His family has been notified of his death.
