On February 13, 2022 at 10:10 p.m. the Regina Police Service responded to a report of a break and enter to a business on the 1400 block of Scarth Street. Information received was that through video surveillance, the business owner could see an unknown male breaking into the business through the front door and subsequently cutting the power to the business. Police arrived in the area and found a 35 year old male matching the suspect description with several pairs of pants belonging to the business that was broken into. The male also had a hatchet, bolt cutters and tin snips.
35 year old Bradlee Leo James McKay was arrested and charged with the following:
- Break and Enter and commit an indictable offence [348(1)(b) CC]
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [355(b) CC]
- Possession of break in instruments [351(1) CC]
McKay will make his first court appearance in Provincial Court on February 14, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
