On Thursday, February 10, 2022, police were called to Dryburgh Crescent for the report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence.
When police arrived, the vehicle was gone, but police spotted the vehicle in the distance. Shortly thereafter, police received multiple reports describing a similar vehicle driving the wrong way down streets at a high rate of speed and backing down streets.
Investigation determined the identity of the driver, a 42 year-old Regina male. The male was then seen near police headquarters engaging a plainclothes police officer, then driving away.
The male was later witnessed disobeying a red light and stopping in traffic. The male exited the vehicle and was taken into custody by police. A search revealed a small amount of a substance believed to be cocaine.
Forty-two year-old Stephen Anthony KAYTOR, of Regina, is charged with:
- Dangerous Drive [CC 320.13(1)]; and
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
KAYTOR is scheduled to make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this afternoon, February 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
