A 62 year-old female from White City has been charged in connection with an investigation into alleged fraud and theft over $5,000.00.
The Regina Police Service Financial Crime Unit, received a complaint from shareholders who had invested into an apartment complex in Regina. Through the investigation it was determined that a substantial mortgage was obtained by one of the directors of the corporation and the funds were not used to benefit the corporation. The resulting police investigation led to the arrest of this individual and criminal charges.
Sixty-two year-old Edna F. KEEP, of White City, SK, has been charged with:
– Fraud over $5,000, s. 380(1)(a) CC; and
– Theft over $5,000, s. 334(a) CC.
KEEP will make her first court appearance on these charges in Provincial court at 2:00 p.m. today: Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
