A male and female face Break and Enter charges after an arrest on Sunday morning.
On Sunday, January 2nd, 2022, at approximately 8:30 a.m., police were dispatched to the intersection of 6th Avenue and Wallace Street for the report of a break and enter to a residence. Information received stated that a male and female had entered the residence in a suspicious manner.
Police attended and announced their presence at the back door, which included a Police Service Dog. After several announcements, and with no response, police entered. After a search, a male and female were located hiding in the basement, with the Police Service Dog biting the female. Both suspects were taken into custody, and the female received medical treatment for minor injury from the bite, and was cleared. The 34 year-old female also was in possession of break and enter tools, which are believed to have been used to gain access to the residence. Both were found to have active warrants for which they were also arrested, and both were found to be in breach of release conditions.
Thirty-eight year-old Jonas Wayne WESAQUATE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Break & Enter With Intent 348(1)(A)]; and
- Fail to Comply With Condition of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].
Thirty-four year-old Miranda Kay Jasmine PASQUA, of Regina, is charged with:
- Break & Enter With Intent [CC 348(1)(A)];
- Possession of Break-In Instruments [CC 351(1)]; and
- Fail to Comply With Condition of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].
The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court, today, Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.
