On Tuesday, December 14, 2021, shortly after 6:30 p.m., in the area of Elphinstone and Dewdney Avenue, a Regina Police Service member working in Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan observed a vehicle with a license plate registered to a suspended driver. Police successfully conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and the lone occupant, a 44 year-old female, was identified. The female was found to be wanted on warrants and arrested. A search revealed items which included a substance believed to be cocaine, as well as Canadian and US currency. The female was also found to be in breach of conditions of a release order.
Forty-four year-old D’Shalla Alicia Noel DESJARLAIS, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)];
- Fail to comply with Conditions of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)].
DESJARLAIS is scheduled to make her first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on January 26, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.
