A Regina male is facing numerous charges following police investigation into a Break & Enter, Assault and Robbery.
On Friday, December 3, 2021, at approximately 8:04 p.m., police units were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Grace Street. The initial information stated that a suspect male had entered the residence via a window, ransacked the bedroom and then left with articles belonging to the occupant of the residence. It was also alleged that the suspect male threatened one resident with a knife and struck another. Police gathered further information that led them to a residence in the 1300 block of Robinson Street. There, they were able to arrest a 25 year-old male suspect without further incident. Investigation led to several charges in connection with this incident.
Twenty-five year-old Joseph Maxwell EDWARDS, of Regina, is charged with;
- Break, Enter and Commit Indictable Offence (assault), s. 348(1)(b) CC;
- Assault with a weapon, s. 267(a) CC;
- Assault, s. 266 CC;
- Theft under $5,000, s. 334(b) CC; and
- Breach of Release Order, s. 145(5)(a) CC.
EDWARDS was remanded into custody and held to appear in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021.
