On November 18, 2021, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police were dispatched to a building on the 1800 block of Scarth Street to assist a citizen. Building security had called stating an unknown male was on the pedway, sitting with legs over the edge.
It was determined that the male was unable to return to ground safely, so 11th Avenue traffic was shut down on Scarth Street and bus routes were diverted for the Regina Fire Department to bring a truck ladder. The male was secured to a basket which was safely lowered to the ground at approximately 3:45 p.m. The male was treated on scene by EMS. It was learned that the male had climbed up in order to create social media content. The male was charged by police for mischief.
Twenty-nine year-old Igor LUBURA, of Regina, is charged with: Mischief Over $5,000 [430(3) CC].
The accused was released and scheduled to make his first appearance on this charge in Provincial Court on Thursday, January 6, 2022.
