A 21 year-old male and a 21 year-old female are facing charges in connection with a recent robbery.
On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at about 6:30 p.m., several police units were dispatched to a report of a robbery at a residence in the 2200 block of Osler Street. The victim indicated she was robbed of personal items and threats of violence were made against her by a female acquaintance and an unknown male. The victim got herself to a safe place and contacted police. Both suspects were taken into custody a short time later without incident.
Twenty-one year-old Brandon Sandy ROY and 21 year-old Desiree Marie MORIN-JIM, both of Regina, are both charged with Robbery [344(1)(b) CC]. ROY is also charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000. [355(b) CC]. Obstruct Peace Officer (false name) [129(a) CC]. Both made their first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. today: Wednesday, October 27, 2021.
