A twenty-year-old male has been charged in connection with the death of a 43 year-old male in the city’s 11th (eleventh) homicide of 2021.
This investigation began when patrol members were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of King Street, at approximately 9:32 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, for the report of an unresponsive male. Police arrived performed CPR until EMS arrived, but could not revive the victim, who was confirmed deceased by EMS at the scene. Patrol requested the Coroner, Forensic Identification and Major Crimes, as well as other resources, to the scene. The victim was identified and family were notified of his death.
Investigation into the matter led to the identification of a 20 year-old male, who was located and arrested early Thursday morning, and charged.
Twenty year-old Reagan Riley Joseph MACDONALD, of Regina, is charged with:
- Manslaughter [246(B) CC]; and
- Fail to Comply [145(4)(a) CC].
The accused made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, Friday, October 22, 2021, at 9:30 a.m.
