The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is investigating another homicide in Regina. The death of a 43 year-old male is the city’s 11th (eleventh) homicide of 2021.
This investigation began when patrol members were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of King Street, at approximately 9:32 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. The initial information indicated there was an unresponsive male at that address. Police arrived and requested EMS immediately upon locating the victim: an adult male. Officers performed CPR until EMS arrived, but could not revive the victim. The male was confirmed deceased by EMS at the scene. Patrol requested the Coroner, Forensic Identification and Major Crimes, as well as other resources, to the scene.
The victim has been identified as 43 year-old Mitchell Lorne Oliver ANTHONY, of Regina. His family has been notified of his death.
The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is continuing this homicide investigation. There are no other details for release at this time.
