At approximately 9:20 a.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 police were called to a residence in the 1500 Block of Elphinstone Street for a report of a Break and Enter. Officers learned from the owner that, upon his arrival at the residence, he discovered five people inside. He confronted them and, as they left, they pointed a firearm at him before walking away.
Officers were in the area and able to locate the group a short distance away. All five were taken into custody without incident. A search turned up ammunition as well as imitation and improvised firearms.
As a result of this investigation, five people are facing charges.
Twenty-two year-old Durell Austin LONETHUNDER is charged with:
- Break and Enter, Commit Mischief [CC 348(1)(b)]
Twenty-one year-old Kristian Jaycob GORDON is charged with:
- Break and Enter, Commit Mischief [CC 348(1)(b)]
Nineteen year-old Keaston PAMBRUN is charged with:
- Break and Enter, Commit Mischief [CC 348(1)(b)]
- Carry a Concealed Weapon [CC 90]
- Possession of a Weapon [CC 88]
- Use of an Imitation Firearm in the Commission of an Indictable Offence [85(2)(a)) CC]
- Uttering Threats [CC 264.1(1)(a)]
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm [CC 91(1)]
- Unsafe Storage of a Firearm [CC 86(2)]
LONETHUNDER, PAMBRUN and GORDON made their first appearances on the charges this morning (Tuesday, October 19, 2021) in Regina Provincial Court.
A 15-year-old male, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Break and Enter, Commit Mischief [CC 348(1)(b)]
- Possession of Break In Instruments [CC 351(1)]
- Possession of a Weapon [CC 88]
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon [CC 90]
A 15-year-old female, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Break and Enter, Commit Mischief [CC 348(1)(b)]
Both appeared in Provincial Youth Court this morning (Tuesday, October 10, 2021).
