On Monday, September 27, 2021, at approximately 11:00 a.m., police were dispatched to a business on the 100 block of N Winnipeg Street for the report of a break and enter overnight. Information received was that vehicle keys were taken and used to leave with two vehicles parked on the property.
Investigation into this incident led to the identity of a 40 year-old female and a 26 year-old male, and involvement in a similar reported incident occurring at a business overnight between September 21st and 22nd, 2021, on the 6300 block of Rochdale Boulevard.
On October 1, 2021, police located a vehicle, bearing a license plate recently reported as stolen from another vehicle, stopped at a retail centre parking lot in Harbour Landing. The two occupants of the vehicle, the 40 year-old female and the 26 year-old male suspects, were arrested. The vehicle was confirmed to be one of the stolen vehicles from the reported September 21st to 22nd over-night theft.
A search of the male revealed keys from a stolen vehicle in the September 26th / 27th overnight incident on N Winnipeg Street, as well as keys from a previously recovered stolen vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed five stolen license plates, keys to another stolen vehicle, and a stolen garage door opener and vehicle registration both unrelated to the previously mentioned vehicles. Firearm ammunition was also discovered.
Twenty-six year-old Brandon Travis PERRA, and forty year-old Danielle Elizabeth FINK, both
of Regina, are charged with:
- Break and Enter and Commit [CC 348(1)(B)];
- 2 X Theft of Motor Vehicle [CC 333.1(1)];
- 2 X Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
- 8 X Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 [CC 355(B)]; and
- Possession of Break-In Instruments [CC 351(1)].
PERRA is also charged with:
- 2 X Drive while prohibited [CC 320.18(1)(A)].
FINK is also charged with:
- Possession of Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)];
Both accused made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court Monday, October 4, 2021, at 9:30 a.m.
