On September 25, 2021, at approximately 2:47 am, members of the Regina Police Service attended to a business on the 1700 block of East Dewdney Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan for a complaint of an assault with a weapon and mischief, occurring inside the business premise. Upon arrival, police members observed staff outside the premise holding the door closed to keep the male inside. Police took the male into custody.
Police learned from staff members that the male had entered the store, began damaging property, and then proceeded to chase the staff members with a knife. The staff members were able to exit the premise and held the door closed until police arrived. The staff members were not injured.
74 year-old Kenneth Glen HUBICK of Regina is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon [267 (a)] – 3 counts
- Mischief under $5000 [430 (4)] – 1 count
- Possession of a Weapon [88] – 1 count
Kenneth Hubick will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
